. the previous reports shows the economy added just 96,000 jobs in august while the unemployment rate fell slightly to 8.1% because more people stopped looking for work. as for stocks it was a weak finish to a strong quarter on wall street. checking the numbers, the dow stands this morning at 13,437, but it fell about 49 points on friday. it rose 4% for the entire quarter. nasdaq lost 20 points on friday, rallied more than 6% from july through september. and the s&p 500 was off by 6 and gained almost 6% in the third quarter. >>> also investors are waiting on the minutes from the latest federal reserve meeting. policymakers decided to keep rates at record lows through 2015 and buy back more bonds to jump start the economy. we're seeing mortgage rates falls as a result. >>> amazon's paperweight e- reader goes on sale this month. it's the latest investigation of the -- version of the kindle to goes head to head with the barnes and noble nook. we'll have to see how the sales figures are. >> i have my kindle and all my other devices. do i need another real kindle itself? >> there's a skippedle
